Wedoany.com Report on Mar 7th, The Pinnacle SkyTower project in downtown Toronto has reached a construction milestone of 106 floors, becoming Canada's tallest skyscraper and the first residential skyscraper in North America to achieve this height. The project is scheduled for completion in 2026, with a final height of 351.85 meters. Its highest floors are now level with the main observation deck of the CN Tower.

This supertall skyscraper, designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, features a 12-sided tapered aerodynamic form. The design integrates inspiration from its waterfront location with diamond-faceted geometry. The façade incorporates floor-to-ceiling windows, with balconies extending up to the 88th floor. To counteract high-altitude wind pressure, a 700-ton tuned mass damper is installed at the top of the skyscraper, ensuring residential comfort.
Pinnacle SkyTower will include 958 residential units, the new Le Méridien Toronto hotel with 225 rooms, and 80,000 square feet of amenities. The hotel portion, located in the lower section of the skyscraper, will be operated by Marriott International. Restaurants are also planned for the top floors, offering dining experiences at the same height as the CN Tower's observation deck.
Anson Kwok, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Pinnacle International, stated: "Now that we've reached the 106-floor milestone, you can truly feel the crescendo building. Pinnacle SkyTower offers the exclusive opportunity to live in a fully customized residence within Canada's tallest skyscraper, setting a new standard for luxury living in Toronto."
SkyTower is part of the broader Pinnacle One Yonge master plan, a 4.4-million-square-foot mixed-use development that includes multiple residential towers, commercial spaces, a hotel, and outdoor areas. Pinnacle plans to hold a topping-out ceremony later this year, inviting the project team, officials, and community representatives to commemorate this milestone. The completion of this skyscraper marks another reshaping of Toronto's skyline, forming a new city landmark alongside the CN Tower.
The mixed-use development encompasses residential, retail, hotel, and outdoor spaces. Pinnacle plans to hold a topping-out ceremony later this year, inviting the project team, officials, key stakeholders, and community members to participate and mark this significant occasion.
