Wedoany.com Report, On March 16, Xiaomi Auto officially announced that its new generation Xiaomi SU7 will be launched on March 19. In addition to announcing the price of the new generation Xiaomi SU7, the launch event will also release two new products: the Xiaomi Book Pro 14 and the Xiaomi Watch S5. Among them, the most anticipated is undoubtedly the new generation Xiaomi SU7, which still offers three configurations: Standard, Pro, and Max, with a pre-sale price range of 229,900 to 309,900 yuan.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun stated that the new generation SU7 has achieved significant improvements in safety, driving control, intelligent experience, and luxurious quality compared to the first-generation SU7.
The exterior design of the new generation SU7 hasn't changed much. It adds three new color options: Indigo Stone Green, Capri Blue, and Crimson Sunset Red, while retaining the existing colors: Flowing Gold Pink, Glow Purple, Dazzling Magenta, Elegant Gray, Pearl White, and Obsidian Black, offering a total of nine color choices.
The interior has also been upgraded. The steering wheel has been changed to the same design as the Xiaomi YU7. The digital instrument cluster and the floating central control screen are retained. The design of the center console section has been optimized; the physical buttons are no longer separately arranged but have become parallel, elongated strips. In terms of color schemes, the Twilight Red and Mist Purple options are retained, while two new colors are added: Midnight Black and Sand Beige.
Regarding assisted driving, the entire lineup has been equipped with the same high-level assisted driving solution as the Xiaomi YU7. Lidar has become standard across all models, supported by 4D millimeter-wave radar. The main control chip is the NVIDIA Thor with 700 TOPS of computing power, supporting Xiaomi HAD end-to-end assisted driving. Both perception capabilities and computing power have been elevated.
In terms of the chassis, the entire lineup comes standard with front four-piston fixed calipers. The front tire width is 245mm, while the rear wheels have been upgraded to 265mm wide tires. Both the Pro and Max versions have been upgraded with dual-chamber closed air suspension and CDC continuous variable damping shock absorbers, promising significant improvements in handling and comfort.
Regarding powertrain, both the Standard and Pro versions are equipped with a rear-mounted V6s motor with a maximum power of 235kW. They have been upgraded to a 752V silicon carbide high-voltage platform. Their CLTC range is 720km and 902km respectively, capable of replenishing 450/490km of range with a 15-minute charge. The Max version still features a dual-motor setup (front and rear) with a combined maximum power of 508kW, upgraded to an 897V silicon carbide high-voltage platform. Its CLTC range is 835km, capable of replenishing 670km of range with a 15-minute charge.
