Wedoany.com Report on Mar 17th, Bilfinger SE in Mannheim, Germany, and Covestro AG in Leverkusen have announced a five-year extension of their framework agreement, continuing maintenance and turnaround work for electrical equipment and systems at multiple Covestro sites in Germany. The cooperation, which began in 2014, aims to ensure plant availability and operational efficiency.

In the chemical parks in Dormagen and Uerdingen, the collaboration focuses on Covestro's chlorine production, a fundamental element for many of its production processes. Wolfgang Pagani, Head of Technical Site Management and Contractor Management for North Rhine-Westphalia, stated: "The continuous, uninterrupted operation of chlorine production is crucial for our processes. Through professional maintenance work, Bilfinger has contributed to plant efficiency over the years and minimized downtime. The team's outstanding flexibility and work quality were decisive factors in extending this successful cooperation once again."

Under the assembly contract for process control technology, Bilfinger is responsible for preventive and responsive maintenance of electrical equipment and systems, as well as overhauls during planned turnarounds. Routine maintenance services include the regular replacement and repair of cables and electrical components. Bilfinger's expert teams provide 24/7 on-site support at both Covestro sites to optimize plant operations.
