Wedoany.com Report on Mar 18th, Recently, Wang Zhigang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China National Nuclear Energy Co., Ltd., led a delegation to visit and exchange ideas with the China Nuclear Power Research and Design Institute (NPIC). Yao Gang, Secretary of the Party Committee of NPIC, and Huo Jianming, Deputy General Manager of the company, participated in the relevant exchange activities.

The two sides discussed and reached preliminary consensus on areas such as supercritical carbon dioxide power generation systems, design optimization breakthroughs for High-Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor (HTGR) 2.0, and nuclear power energy storage systems and peak-shaving technologies. Wang Zhigang stated that the High-Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor is a crucial direction for China's independent innovation in nuclear power. He expressed hope that based on existing achievements, both sides would fully leverage their respective advantages in scientific research and engineering design, continue to expand cooperation space, and further promote the high-quality development of the High-Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor industry.

Yao Gang welcomed Wang Zhigang and his delegation. He indicated that implementation plans will be formulated for key cooperation areas and expressed hope that this exchange would serve as an opportunity to deepen practical cooperation and achieve new breakthroughs in fields such as advanced nuclear energy technology R&D and industrial application.
