Wedoany.com Report, On March 16, the first large plate girder for the boiler of Unit 3 in the 2×1000 MW expansion project of State Power Investment Corporation Jiangxi Company's Fenyi Power Plant was successfully hoisted into position. This marks a crucial milestone in the construction of the main boiler structure for this unit, laying a solid foundation for subsequent project phases.

Located in Shuanglin Town, Fenyi County, Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, the project is an expansion of the first phase of the Fenyi Power Plant, which originally had 2×660 MW units. It plans to construct 2×1000 MW ultra-supercritical, single-reheat coal-fired power generating units, equipped with simultaneous flue gas desulfurization and denitrification facilities. As a key energy project in Jiangxi Province, it aims to optimize the regional energy structure, ensure stable power supply, and support economic and social development.

The hoisted large plate girder is a key load-bearing component of the boiler's steel structure. It measures 29.75 meters in length, 3.25 meters in height, and weighs approximately 49.4 tons. Its installation base elevation is 114 meters. To ensure safe and efficient hoisting, the project team formulated a detailed construction plan and optimized the process. They employed a 160-ton level luffing crane for single-machine operation, with a positioning radius of 37 meters. The crane's rated load capacity is 79.28 tons, with a maximum load factor of 62.3%. Through precise control, the girder was hoisted into place in one attempt. The successful installation of the large plate girder signifies that the main framework of the Unit 3 boiler is largely formed, creating favorable conditions for subsequent processes such as the hoisting of heating surfaces.
