Wedoany.com Report, At 11:07 on March 18, after processes of luffing, slewing, and lowering the hook, the CA20 module of Unit 1 at the Bailong Nuclear Power Plant in Guangxi, China, was smoothly hoisted into position. The entire hoisting process was safe and its quality was controllable.

The CA20 module measures approximately 20.5 meters in length, 14.2 meters in width, and 21 meters in height. It is a core component of the main structure in areas 5 and 6 of the nuclear island auxiliary building, with a total lifting weight of about 1,064 tons.

Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute (SNERDI) planned ahead and made meticulous arrangements. Leveraging innovative techniques, efficient coordination, and precise control as key drivers, SNERDI maximized installation work during the assembly phase and achieved the most thorough modularization possible by integrating equipment modules, piping, penetrations, and floor reinforcement. 3D scanning technology was employed to accurately identify collision risks among components, ensuring zero-collision positioning. Meanwhile, a parallel construction mode involving multiple components and multi-story floor slabs was adopted to maximize the work area, comprehensively ensuring the safe, orderly, and efficient progress of module construction.

SNERDI will continue to be guided by Party building, unite the efforts of all participating parties, leverage the advantages of EPC management, continuously forge a "first-class AE" project management system and core capabilities for batch construction, and persistently advance the high-quality construction of the unit with high standards.
