en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 25th, Baumer recently launched multiple sensor and encoder products specifically designed for construction machinery, quarry equipment, material handling machinery, and mobile vehicles. These products are aimed at withstanding harsh operating conditions such as high impact, vibration, dust, humidity, and extreme temperatures.

Among them, the GIM600R inclination sensor is designed for mobile machinery, offering a verified accuracy of up to 0.1º. It complies with the ISO 13849-1:2023 standard and supports functional safety compliance requirements up to PLd level. The MAGRES EAM 580RS absolute encoder utilizes magnetic induction technology and is equipped with the CANopen Safety communication protocol. It features high resistance to shock and vibration, an IP67 protection rating, corrosion resistance up to CX (C5-M) level, and an E1 standard design, making it suitable for mobile automation scenarios.
Furthermore, Baumer's robust cable sensors can provide precise position measurement for mobile machinery over distances of up to 50 meters, supporting linear travel measurement needs. The EB360R absolute multi-turn encoder employs a sealed, bearing-less design with a protection rating exceeding IP69K, facilitating integration while eliminating the need for exposed installation.
The aforementioned products can be applied in various scenarios such as crushers, screening machines, conveyors, excavators, loaders, telescopic handlers, and mobile handling equipment. They support functions including boom and chassis inclination monitoring, steering angle feedback, and shaft and roller position and speed monitoring. Baumer states that these sensors and encoders, through various connection methods like IO-Link, CANopen, and SSI, support the direct replacement of existing sensors and functional safety configurations, helping to reduce equipment operational risks and total lifecycle costs.
