The 15 million tons/year coal grading, cleaning and high-efficiency conversion demonstration project's olefin, aromatic hydrocarbon and deep processing project (hereinafter referred to as the "Phase II Project") of Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd. is divided into the Phase II Stage 1 project and subsequent projects. The Phase II Stage 1 project mainly involves the construction of a 5.6 million tons/year coal-to-methanol plant, a 1.5 million tons/year methanol-to-olefins plant and downstream deep processing units, producing a total of 2.77 million tons/year of eight types of products including polyethylene, polypropylene, EVA, and SAP. The project's supporting water electrolysis hydrogen production scale is: hydrogen 12,000 Nm³/h; oxygen 6,000 Nm³/h.
The total land area for the Phase II Stage 1 project of Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd.'s 15 million tons/year coal grading, cleaning and high-efficiency conversion demonstration project is approximately 9,200 mu, with an estimated total investment of about 62 billion yuan. Upon completion, the project is expected to achieve an average annual sales revenue of 20.7 billion yuan and a post-tax profit of 3.3 billion yuan.
The Phase II project of Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd.'s 15 million tons/year coal grading, cleaning and high-efficiency conversion demonstration project will further extend the industrial chain based on the Phase I project. Following a high-end, diversified, and low-carbon layout, it will ultimately produce over 30 types of end products across four major fields: high-value-added materials, battery electrolyte solvents, biodegradable materials, and specialty oils. At the same time, this project has received high attention from the provincial party committee and government and has been listed as a key project in the "14th Five-Year Plan" of Shaanxi Province and Yulin City. Currently, the project has obtained 19 important preliminary procedures including environmental impact assessment, approval, and water intake permits. The Phase II project will be constructed in two stages. Stage 1 mainly involves the construction of coal gasification, methanol synthesis, methanol-to-olefins, and downstream olefin-related units. Stage 2 mainly involves the construction of coal pyrolysis, tar hydrogenation, aromatics-olefins integration, biodegradable materials, battery electrolyte, and other units.
