China's Hualu Hengsheng Gasification Platform Upgrade and Renovation Project Commissioned, with Estimated Total Investment of RMB 3.039 Billion

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 15, Shandong Hualu Hengsheng Chemical Co., Ltd. issued an announcement that its gasification platform upgrade and renovation project had completed all process commissioning and produced qualified products, officially entering the production stage. The project has an estimated total investment of RMB 3.039 billion, mainly aimed at improving syngas production efficiency and facility operation levels by updating the coal gasification units without increasing raw coal consumption.

The project uses coal as raw material and produces syngas through coal gasification and purification. Its main construction content includes gasification units, auxiliary production facilities, and some supporting utilities. After completion, the total syngas production scale will reach 450,900 Nm³/h, calculated by the effective gas volume of carbon monoxide and hydrogen, providing basic raw material support for Hualu Hengsheng's subsequent chemical product production.

This renovation is an upgrade project of Hualu Hengsheng's existing coal chemical industry platform. Its core is not simply adding raw coal input, but optimizing raw material conversion and energy utilization efficiency by replacing the original gasification units. According to the company's 2025 annual report, as of the end of 2025, the gasification platform upgrade and renovation project had incurred approximately RMB 305 million in construction-in-progress investment, and the project has since continued to advance construction and equipment installation.

According to the project feasibility study arrangement, the total investment of RMB 3.039 billion will be funded by Hualu Hengsheng's own funds and bank loans. After the project is commissioned, it will further improve the company's coal gasification basic platform and provide syngas feedstock for downstream synthetic ammonia, alcohols, and other coal chemical products, while promoting improvements in energy consumption and production efficiency through replacement by new units. Hualu Hengsheng previously made clear in its annual business plan that it will continue to advance technical renovations for energy conservation, carbon reduction, and cleaner production, and improve resource and energy utilization efficiency.
