en.Wedoany.com Reported - Industrial technology company AIRCO has opened a new manufacturing and integration facility in New Britain, Pennsylvania, to scale production of its modular synthetic fuel systems designed for remote and operationally constrained environments.
The facility will serve as AIRCO's primary manufacturing hub, consolidating research and development, engineering, operations, and production activities within a single campus, and producing its MAD (Mobile, Adaptive, Dynamic) fuel system. This containerized platform utilizes captured carbon dioxide to produce synthetic fuel on demand.
These systems are planned for deployment in locations where traditional fuel transportation and resupply logistics are costly or difficult to execute. According to AIRCO, the technology enables fuel production for aircraft and ground vehicles directly at the point of use, thereby reducing reliance on centralized fuel infrastructure.
AIRCO Co-Founder and CEO Gregory Constantine stated: "For over a century, fuel has been produced in centralized refineries and shipped around the world. We are changing that. This facility enables us to manufacture autonomous systems that can produce fuel anywhere, on demand. This is a fundamental shift from fuel as a commodity to fuel as infrastructure."
AIRCO noted that the new facility will meet the growing demand for its modular fuel production technology in the defense and commercial aviation sectors. Meanwhile, as interest in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and alternative fuel production technologies increases, AIRCO continues to collaborate with airlines such as JetBlue and Virgin Atlantic. By integrating AIRMADE fuel production technology into modular systems, AIRCO aims to create flexible energy hubs capable of operating in diverse environments and maintaining stable fuel output.
