en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) approved on Tuesday (2nd) a BRL 79.9 million financing to Coopavel for the expansion of its storage complex in western Paraná state.

The financing will be used to build two grain receiving, storage, and processing facilities, each with a storage capacity of 40,000 tons and a daily processing capacity of approximately 6,500 tons of grain.

According to BNDES, the total investment for the two projects in Nova Aurora and Cascavel is estimated at BRL 84.5 million. The complex will be equipped with agricultural input sales infrastructure, warehouses, and administrative support areas.

The storage investment is part of Coopavel's strategy to reduce logistical bottlenecks in the region, especially during the post-harvest period, ensuring flexibility for farmers in product sales.

BNDES President Aloizio Mercadante stated that the establishment of these two storage units will strengthen production in the region, reinforce key industrial chains in the regional economy, improve production organization by expanding storage and processing capacity, reduce logistical bottlenecks, and help generate income and employment in rural areas.

According to BNDES, the project will help reduce logistics costs, increase production efficiency, and improve trade conditions in the region.
