en.Wedoany.com Reported - H-Power has signed an agreement with Protium to sell 5,000 kilograms of green hydrogen produced by a bio-ammonia cracking unit. The product is certified to meet ISO 14687 Grade D standards with a purity of 99.97%. H-Power stated that 5,000 kg of hydrogen can power a 30 kW LC30 fuel cell generator continuously for over 100 days.

Prior to this sale, the UK Environment Agency revised H-Power's permit for the Dunsfold facility, allowing the sale of hydrogen produced by the ammonia cracking unit to third parties, with the permit valid until August 31, 2026. H-Power believes that the licensing approach of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Environment Agency facilitates the large-scale deployment of ammonia and hydrogen technologies.

H-Power and Protium have signed a preliminary 12-month agreement, renewable, to build a "virtual hydrogen storage station" in Dunsfold. Under the agreement, Protium can store and fill multi-cylinder assemblies from the cracking unit at the site, thereby expanding its distribution capacity across Southeast England and the entire country.

H-Power's HY5 decentralized portable cracking unit, developed based on pilot experience, adopts a proprietary dual heat source architecture with a daily capacity of 500 kg, targeting commercial operation by the end of 2026. The unit is positioned as a low-cost, high-capacity fuel cell-grade hydrogen solution, capable of replacing a 1.2 MW electrolyzer.
