en.Wedoany.com Reported - SailPoint Technologies Inc. announced the acquisition of Entro Security Ltd., a startup that helps enterprises protect artificial intelligence agents. The deal was disclosed by both parties on the same day, with financial terms undisclosed, though CTech reported the transaction value to be approximately $200 million.

Tel Aviv-based Entro had raised about $24 million in total funding prior to the acquisition. Its namesake platform automatically scans AI agents within enterprise networks, generating interaction diagrams that show how employees interact with each agent. For example, the platform can identify agents that have not been accessed for over 90 days and flag them for deletion.

AI agents often require access credentials such as application programming interface tokens to interact with external services during operation. The Entro platform detects credentials stored in insecure ways and displays details such as how access tokens were created and which services they unlock. Additionally, the platform establishes a baseline model for each agent's activity patterns. If anomalous behavior is detected—such as an agent attempting to download files from a database it has never accessed before—it sends an alert to administrators containing a natural language description and information about the affected services.

For identified risks, Entro also provides remediation recommendations. Users can apply recommended measures via a dropdown menu, such as rotating credentials for potentially malicious agents, notifying administrators, and syncing event data to external tools. The acquirer, SailPoint, is a Nasdaq-listed company whose platform helps enterprises regulate employee access to applications, including rotating passwords and removing risky account permissions. In March of this year, the company launched Agentic Fabric, extending access controls to AI agents. The acquisition of Entro will enhance this product.

SailPoint Chief Marketing Officer Wendy Wu stated in a blog post that this move accelerates the company's native capabilities, providing out-of-the-box coverage for over 1,000 non-human identity and agent types, and enabling the discovery of more than 1,200 non-human identity types, including keys, tokens, certificates, and credentials. Entro's AI agent monitoring features will be embedded into Agentic Fabric, and the integrated platform can automatically mitigate risks such as application accounts granting AI agents excessive access to sensitive data. SailPoint expects to complete the acquisition in the third quarter.
