The primary objective of the platform is to optimize the port's decision-making processes, improve logistics and administrative operations, enhance the efficiency of port space utilization, and simultaneously advance Vigo's development in innovation, connectivity, and technological application. The port authority stated that, with digital twin technology, the port will achieve more rational space allocation and accelerate the digitalization and informatization of its processes.
The head of the Galician port authority noted that this pilot project at the fishing port represents a new step in cooperation between Vigo and northern Portugal.
