en.Wedoany.com Reported - Kazakhstan's Serik Zhumangarin held talks with Valmont Industries of the United States on irrigation agricultural development and the localized production of sprinkler irrigation equipment. The two sides discussed the promotion of modern water-saving technologies and the advancement of local assembly of VALLEY brand sprinkler irrigation equipment.

Zhumangarin stated that expanding irrigated farmland is one of the key directions of the national agricultural industrial complex development policy. He noted that Kazakhstan has enormous potential for agricultural land use, and in line with the head of state's instructions to expand irrigated land areas, developing the manufacturing of modern irrigation equipment is of great significance. Currently, Valmont Industries' project has attracted widespread attention, as it will significantly shorten the time for domestic farmers to access relevant equipment.

The local assembly project for VALLEY irrigation equipment has entered its final implementation phase. The production base is located within the industrial park under the holding group of the domestic company Imstalcon JSC. All related infrastructure has been fully completed, including production areas with customs warehouse and free warehouse regimes. The project demonstrates high market potential; in Karaganda Region alone, the future project reserve plans to produce approximately 250 sprinkler irrigation units, meeting the irrigation needs of nearly 25,000 hectares of agricultural land.

Participants noted that localizing equipment production will not only shorten supply cycles and improve the accessibility of modern equipment for domestic agricultural producers but will also be a crucial step in promoting water-saving technology application and developing irrigated agriculture in Kazakhstan. After the meeting, Zhumangarin instructed the Ministry of Agriculture, in coordination with relevant state agencies and local governments, to continue advancing the project's localization efforts and strengthen cooperation with investors to further enhance farmers' access to modern irrigation equipment.
