en.Wedoany.com Reported - Vinland Lithium (TSX-V:VLD) announced that it will launch the 2026 exploration program for its wholly-owned Killick lithium project in southwestern Newfoundland, Canada, in late July.
The exploration program will focus on completing targeted prospecting, geological mapping, geochemical sampling, and ground geophysical surveys to advance the project. This summer program was developed after reviewing the company's sampling database, which showed anomalously high tungsten levels, with one sample exceeding 1,000 parts per million tungsten.
Staff have collected 11 samples from the same tungsten occurrence, which is now considered a "high priority" area for follow-up work. The samples have been submitted for analysis, and results will be released upon receipt.
The upcoming exploration will include follow-up prospecting of lithium-rich float discovered in 2025 at Kraken West and South, where up to 1.70% lithium oxide was found. Additionally, exploration and mapping work will be conducted for tin-tungsten potential.
Vinland will also continue till sampling in multiple areas and conduct detailed ground geophysical surveys using magnetic methods and very low frequency electromagnetics in the Kraken-Killick area.
The Killick project is the only known lithium-spodumene and cesium-pollucite pegmatite discovery in Newfoundland. The initial drilling phase of the project yielded significant discoveries, including 8.4 meters grading 0.95% lithium oxide in the Kraken dyke, 16.2 meters grading 0.43% lithium oxide in the Kraken North dyke, and 15.23 meters grading 1.04% lithium oxide in the Killick dyke.
Vinland has also signed a land purchase agreement to acquire four mineral claims through a combination of cash and shares, subject to approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Vinland Lithium is a Canada-focused mineral exploration company dedicated to advancing its wholly-owned Killick lithium project in southwestern Newfoundland.
