The ecosystem was unveiled in Jakarta by Telkom President Dian Siswarini, Digital IT Director Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi, and Special Presidential Envoy for Youth and Arts Development Raffi Ahmad. Telkom stated that AIcosystem aims to unify AI capabilities across TelkomGroup and support AI applications in various sectors, solidifying its position as an end-to-end AI ecosystem enabler with capabilities spanning infrastructure, platforms, solutions, and applications.
Siswarini noted that AIcosystem reflects Telkom's commitment to leveraging AI as a foundation for digital transformation and creating value for Indonesia, with the initiative designed to support enterprises, government agencies, and communities in adopting and utilizing AI technology. AIcosystem integrates capabilities from multiple TelkomGroup entities, including the Telkom AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE), Telkomsel AI, NeutraDC's Neutra Compute, AI Infomedia, AI Digiserve, and Telkom University. The ecosystem enables AI projects previously developed independently by various operating companies to be more closely connected and operate synergistically, supporting the development of scalable solutions for businesses, government institutions, and the public.
A key component of the initiative, the Telkom AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE), is built around five pillars: AI Campus, AI Playground, AI Connect, AI Hub, and AI Native. These pillars support AI talent development, research, collaboration, experimentation, innovation, and implementation. Through AI Campus, the company strengthens collaboration with academic institutions in talent development and AI research; AI Playground provides an environment for developers and communities to explore and experiment with AI technologies. AI Connect brings together universities, industry players, communities, and Telkom in a collaborative ecosystem; AI Hub focuses on transforming ideas and experiments into deployable solutions. The ecosystem is structured around three layers: AI Infrastructure, AI Models and Platforms, and AI Solutions and Applications.
The infrastructure layer includes data centers, graphics processing units (GPUs), central processing units (CPUs), and memory resources to support AI computing workloads. The models and platforms layer includes AI platforms, big data platforms, data aggregation capabilities, and large language models, including those designed to support Indonesian language use cases. The applications layer provides AI applications and use cases tailored to industry and public service needs.
Telkom stated that its AI offerings focus on enterprise needs, emphasizing data privacy, governance, security, and integration with existing business systems.
