en.Wedoany.com Reported - Located in Yuecheng Town, Deqing County, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, China, the PowerChina Deqing Green Building Materials Project has recently successfully entered the completion and trial production phase. The entire plant's production line is undergoing equipment commissioning, and full-scale production operations are imminent. The project is invested in and built by PowerChina (Guangning) Green Mining Co., Ltd., and was officially launched in Yuecheng Town, Deqing County, in September 2023.

The total investment in the project amounts to 2.515 billion yuan. It is designed with an annual production capacity of 31.65 million tons of green building materials such as sand and gravel aggregates. Upon reaching full production, the annual output value will exceed 730 million yuan. The raw materials for the project come from the Muge Pingtian mining area in Guangning County, a construction granite mine acquired by PowerChina in August 2022 for 2.7 billion yuan. The verified resource reserves are approximately 510 million tons, with an approved annual mine production capacity of 16 million tons and a total mine operation period of 23 years. The project mainly consists of four parts: the mining area, a long belt corridor, a fine processing area, and a wharf. The mining area covers a total area of 1.765 square kilometers, and the long belt corridor has a total length of approximately 47.4 kilometers.

Positioned as "Bay Area Aggregates, Deqing Smart Manufacturing," the project leverages the shipping advantages of the Xijiang Golden Waterway to build a modern green mine fine processing base that is intelligent, zero-dust, and low-energy. Its products will be supplied in large quantities to the infrastructure, concrete, and road and bridge engineering markets of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The project has constructed enclosed cylindrical storage warehouses, and the entire line uses closed conveying and negative pressure dust removal systems, truly achieving parallel resource development and ecological protection. The production line is fully automated and controlled, realizing integrated operations for ore crushing, screening, sand making, and finished product storage.

Yuecheng Town, Deqing County, is home to the Xijiang shipping wharf. After the project is put into operation, finished sand and gravel can be directly transported by water to various locations in the Pearl River Delta. The Yuecheng General Cargo Wharf plans to build six 3,000-ton-class general berths, with a target completion and operation date by the end of 2026. As of now, the project has completed 80% of its total investment, and the main structures of berths 2 to 5 are all finished. Yuecheng Town, Deqing County, has gathered multiple large-scale green building materials projects, gradually forming a ten-billion-yuan-level sand and gravel building materials industry cluster, becoming one of the most important sand and gravel production and transshipment hubs in western Guangdong.

Once the project is completed and put into operation, it will effectively fill the supply gap for high-quality building materials in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, stabilize regional sand and gravel market prices, and simultaneously drive local tax revenue, employment, and port-side logistics development.
