According to official Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar, who attended the ceremony, the Prime Minister announced during the event that from June 29th, the Shah Alam LRT line and all feeder buses will be free for one month to encourage the public to experience the new route. The line spans approximately 37.8 kilometers, connecting Bandar Utama to Johan Setia in the Klang Valley, with a total of 20 stations, serving over 2 million residents.

This modern light rail system utilizes driverless trains manufactured by CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd., featuring three-car formations and advanced technical capabilities. It will significantly alleviate local traffic congestion and provide the public with safe, convenient, and comfortable travel options. This project is an important application case of Chinese rail transit equipment in Malaysia, highlighting the competitiveness of Chinese enterprises in the international market.

Both the Prime Minister and the Transport Minister expressed hope that this new line will serve as a key catalyst for driving regional economic development and enhancing national productivity. Full commercial services will commence on June 29th.
