en.Wedoany.com Reported - Brazilian solar subscription service company New Sun Energy Group has launched a private process to select distributed generation (GD) plants for inclusion in its renewable energy asset portfolio. Eligible companies must submit proposals by June 30, which will undergo technical analysis, pre-qualification, due diligence, and negotiation phases before signing contracts.

The call covers solar photovoltaic, hydroelectric, and biogas or biomass thermal power plants, including both projects already connected to the grid and those in the final stages of grid connection. The tender document stipulates that eligible entities to submit proposals are legal entities with a formal legal relationship with the candidate project, and must submit a registration form. In addition to plant owners, the following companies may also participate: companies with ownership or legal use rights over the area and assets where the plant is located; companies with control over the company or operations; companies authorized to negotiate project contracts; or companies granted specific agency powers by the plant owner. Representatives holding formal authorization to submit proposals, provide information, share documents, and conduct preliminary negotiations may also participate. Required documents should prove the representative's legitimacy and meet the legal conditions specified in the selection process.
The process is open to distributed generation projects conforming to GD0 and GD1 models, with plants meeting regulatory and technical requirements of the electricity sector and already in operation or in the final stages of grid connection. The selection is conducted in multiple phases: preliminary analysis by July 7, asset pre-selection by July 10, due diligence from July 11 to 30, and negotiations and contract signing potentially starting in August. Selected projects may be included in the company's portfolio through take-or-pay contracts with a minimum term of 120 months.
Although the tender document covers all of Brazil, New Sun Energy Group prefers to prioritize projects located in the northern region, especially the northeast. The company states that its plants are distributed across 14 Brazilian states, with a notable concentration in the north and northeast, aligning with its strategy to expand in markets considered key for distributed generation growth.
New Sun Energy Group focuses on the subscription-based distributed generation sector, developing renewable energy supply solutions for consumers connected to the distributed generation market. Its business model is based on forming a portfolio of renewable energy plants serving consumers through long-term contracts, and the company aims to expand this strategy through the current selection process.
