en.Wedoany.com Reported - China Mobile's IoT AIoT platform has passed the evaluation of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) "Smart IoT 5.0" certification system, achieving the highest rating under this system—the "Excellence" level—making it the first platform in China to pass this evaluation.

The "Smart IoT 5.0" certification system is one of the standards for grading AIoT platforms in China, designed to assess a platform's development level in terms of technological maturity, application effectiveness, and industry competitiveness. In this evaluation, China Mobile's IoT AIoT platform passed 12 assessment projects involving 457 test cases, covering areas including IoT network connectivity, large-scale device access, artificial intelligence scenario applications, large model all-in-one machines, scenario agents, edge-side intelligent modules, Token operation services, urban IoT, manufacturing operations IoT, agricultural IoT, water conservancy IoT, and IoT digital twins.

China Mobile IoT Company (referred to as "CMIoT"), leveraging China Mobile's communication network and computing resources, integrates AI technologies such as large models and multimodal capabilities into the IoT domain, building an integrated AIoT platform of "network connectivity + IoT + video connectivity + data connectivity + intelligent connectivity," combining functions such as network connection, device access, integrated video sensing, data analysis, and intelligent decision-making.

Platform operational data shows that its IoT card connections have exceeded 1.5 billion, supporting over 300 million device connections, accumulating more than 1,000 thing models, with monthly API calls surpassing 70 billion.

CMIoT is driving the evolution of the AIoT platform towards "AI-native," embedding AI technologies into the end-to-end IoT process. The platform has been applied in scenarios such as industrial internet, water conservancy IoT, smart cities, connected vehicles, smart agriculture, and transparent kitchens.

In the industrial internet sector, intelligent inspection and 5G digital factory solutions have been deployed in over ten provinces and cities, covering industries such as machinery, pharmaceuticals, and automotive, completing digital transformation for more than a thousand pieces of equipment. The Ningde SME digital transformation project cluster helped customers improve product yield from 95% to 96%, achieve 98% accuracy in predictive equipment alarms, and reduce key spare parts consumption by 5%. This solution can be rapidly replicated for over 40,000 pilot SMEs nationwide. The Shandong tire quality inspection project is a pioneering application for tire X-ray quality inspection, capable of identifying over 40 types of common internal tire defects under conditions of 3,000 tires produced daily per production line, with accuracy no less than 95% and a miss rate no higher than 2.5%. With AI intelligent inspection assistance, the same number of inspectors can cover 3 to 5 times the production lines, saving 60% in labor costs.

In the water conservancy IoT sector, operations cover over 20 provinces, with more than 100 projects implemented, supporting real-time monitoring of 600,000 terminals, 50,000 kilometers of pipeline networks, and over 1,000 rivers, lakes, and reservoirs, serving over 1 million farmers. The Guangxi urban waterlogging prevention project, through a provincial command platform, broke down multi-department data silos, established a sponge city monitoring and evaluation system, reducing warning response time from hours to minutes and improving disposal efficiency by 30%. The Chongqing rural drinking water smart water project covers 28 village and town water plants and various pipeline networks, connecting over 2,000 IoT terminals. Through GIS applications for 5,027 kilometers of water supply pipelines and 3D visualization construction for 5 water plants, it achieved pump station monitoring and leakage control, increasing water fee collection rates by over 20%.

In the urban IoT sector, operations cover 33 provincial-level administrative regions, with over 200 projects implemented. The Wenzhou, Zhejiang "unified network management" project supports 9 districts and counties in deploying IoT data cataloging standards, completing unified cataloging and access for over 1.6 million sensing devices, achieving 100% device reuse and generating revenue exceeding 10 million yuan. The Guangdong province three-level IoT sensing system construction project achieved interconnection and interoperability of provincial, city, and county platforms, accessing over one million sensing devices. Through unified thing models and coding mechanisms, device access cycles were shortened by 50%, and cross-department data sharing efficiency improved by 40%.

Achieving the "Smart IoT 5.0" Excellence-level evaluation is an authoritative recognition of the technical capabilities of China Mobile's IoT AIoT platform. CMIoT stated that it will continue to strengthen the platform's capability system and drive the evolution of IoT from "connecting everything" to "intelligently connecting everything."
