en.Wedoany.com Reported - Sabanci Renewables has signed a power purchase agreement with Meta to buy the entire output of its two solar projects, Lucky 7 Solar and Pepper Solar, located in Texas. These two projects have total installed capacities of 100 MWAC/130 MWDC and 120 MWAC/156 MWDC, respectively, and are both scheduled for completion in the second half of 2027. They are expected to create over 600 jobs during the construction phase.

Tolga Kaan Doğancıoğlu, President of Strategic Investment and Operations at Sabanci Group, stated that signing a long-term renewable energy agreement with Meta is a significant step in Sabanci Renewables' business expansion in the United States and a strategic milestone in its journey in the U.S. market, reinforcing its commitment to building lasting partnerships with institutional and corporate off-takers.
According to Solar Power World, in the past two months alone, Meta has signed power purchase agreements for solar projects exceeding 150 megawatts with RWE Renewables, EDP Renewables, Enbridge, and Zelestra. Amanda Yang, Meta's Head of Clean and Renewable Energy, expressed delight in supporting the development of the Lucky 7 and Pepper solar projects, which will add solar capacity to the Texas grid. The long-term agreement with Sabanci Renewables reflects the kind of partnership it values—one that brings meaningful renewable energy online.
