en.Wedoany.com Reported - Advantech China announced on June 29 that it is expanding its cloud-based remote asset management capabilities through the ADAM-6000 and ADAM-6200 industrial input/output (I/O) series. The ADAM-6000 and ADAM-6200 series are designed to monitor and control distributed industrial assets in real time via cloud environments.
These products can be deployed across multiple industries, including smart factories, energy, logistics, transportation, and telecommunications. The series supports device authentication based on X.509 certificates and Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption, and provides Advanced Encryption Standard and IP whitelisting to establish secure communication between cloud platforms and field devices. The products also support over-the-air (OTA) updates, allowing firmware, security certificates, and configuration files to be deployed remotely, thereby enabling efficient management of a large number of connected devices. Through the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol, devices connect to cloud platforms to collect operational data. This data can be used for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) analysis, predictive maintenance, and device lifecycle management.
Advantech stated that the ADAM-6000 and ADAM-6200 series can be applied in industries such as battery energy storage systems (BESS), retail asset management, cloud-based video surveillance, and oil and gas facilities. Advantech Product Manager Kim Seung-hwan said that the ADAM-6000 and ADAM-6200 secure cloud I/O series supports cloud-based asset management across industrial sectors through enhanced security, connectivity, and operational efficiency. These solutions will help accelerate digital transformation and the adoption of cloud-based operating environments in industrial settings.
