en.Wedoany.com Reported - Thai shipyard Marsun has delivered a new trimaran crew boat to local operator Uniwise Offshore, primarily intended for offshore personnel transfer operations in the region.

The crew boat, named "Uniwise Commander," features a trimaran hull design specifically optimized for enhancing offshore transfer efficiency. According to Marsun, the vessel can achieve a service speed of 34 knots, maintain stability in sea conditions with wave heights of up to 2.5 meters, and is equipped with waterjet propulsion systems.

The shipyard added that the design enhances hull stability and reduces vessel motion while providing larger deck space for transporting equipment. These features enable the "Uniwise Commander" to transport a large number of personnel on a single voyage, expected to improve transfer operation efficiency.

Marsun also noted that the vessel offers an effective alternative to helicopter transport for many offshore operational tasks. Its hull is specifically designed as a semi-SWATH configuration, aimed at improving safety during transit to and from offshore platforms.

The crew boat project involved collaboration with several industry partners, including Chevron Thailand and Uniwise Offshore.
