Unikalo inaugurates a €23 million new warehouse in Cestas, France

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Unikalo, a paint manufacturer and distributor specializing in professional sectors, has officially inaugurated its new logistics platform in the Jarry industrial zone in Cestas, near Bordeaux, France. The platform covers an area of 14,000 square meters, including 11,000 square meters of warehouse space and 3,000 square meters of offices, developed and constructed by the general contractor GSE.

The new facility replaces Unikalo's previous logistics base of 10,000 square meters, which was leased in Canéjan, a few kilometers away. The number of pallet positions in the new warehouse has increased from 8,000 to 23,000, with the storage density of 7,000 pallets enhanced by Mecalux stacker cranes. The total investment for this project amounts to €23 million, comprising €20 million for construction and €3 million for equipment.

The new logistics platform is located adjacent to Unikalo's production base. In 2025, the base produced 51,000 tons of paint, with plans to increase output by an additional 5,000 tons this year. This new logistics tool aims to support the company's growth, enabling it to continue expanding its product lines and more effectively meet the needs of customers in mainland France, overseas territories, Belgium, and Switzerland. Founded in 1936, Unikalo currently offers a product catalog of 2,500 paint products. The company operates nearly 300 distribution points across three countries, more than half of which are company-owned stores, running the Nuances Unikalo brand established 25 years ago. The company employs 600 people in its industrial and logistics departments and 1,200 in its stores. Last year, total revenue exceeded €610 million, with a target of over €650 million this year.
