en.Wedoany.com Reported - Epsilon Telecommunications (Epsilon), a global interconnection service provider, has partnered with ESpanix, a Southern European connectivity hub, to deliver flexible, low-latency, and scalable connectivity services between the Iberian Peninsula and global markets. This collaboration enables global customers to access a high-performance ecosystem of cloud, data center, and internet exchange network services in Iberia, while expanding coverage through Epsilon's global backbone network.

Epsilon partners with ESpanix to deliver scalable Network-as-a-Service connectivity in the Iberian region

ESpanix customers in Madrid and Barcelona can instantly connect to Epsilon's global network via its on-demand Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform, Infiny, enabling on-demand access to hundreds of cloud regions and supporting hybrid and multi-cloud architectures. The platform provides low-latency connectivity to ESpanix's carrier-neutral infrastructure, allowing enterprises to remotely access the Iberian interconnection ecosystem without deploying on-premises equipment, thereby reducing time to market.

The partnership also enhances global content delivery performance and strengthens cross-continental business connectivity. Customers can seamlessly configure services and connect to the ESpanix exchange hub via the Infiny platform. Enterprises benefit from low-latency connectivity within the Iberian Peninsula to support real-time applications, including AI-driven workloads, cloud-native platforms, and collaboration tools.

ESpanix operates interconnection, data center, and value-added services, with core facilities including a Tier IV certified data center in Madrid and widely distributed points of presence (PoPs) in the city and Barcelona. Its ecosystem aggregates a large number of internet service providers, carriers, and content networks, supporting direct traffic exchange and reducing reliance on upstream transit providers. Epsilon, through its global backbone network, provides automated orchestration and diverse routing, building a unified global architecture for customers.

Mark Daley, Director of Digital Strategy and Business Development at Epsilon, stated that the Iberian Peninsula is becoming a strategic gateway for global traffic, connecting Europe, Africa, and the Americas via submarine cable landing points in Barcelona, Valencia, Almería, Lisbon, and Bilbao. The partnership leverages ESpanix's local advantages in Madrid and Barcelona along with local submarine landing points to provide international customers with low-latency and resilient connectivity, jointly simplifying network complexity and providing a scalable foundation for next-generation AI and cloud services.

Amedeo Beck Peccoz, Head of Strategy at ESpanix, noted that the collaboration with Epsilon marks a significant step in ESpanix's efforts to serve a global customer base. The strategic location of infrastructure in Madrid and Barcelona offers unique advantages in reducing latency between Europe, emerging markets in Africa, and the Americas. With Epsilon's support, the partnership aims to deliver seamless connectivity, drive digital growth, and accelerate innovation targeting the Middle East and Asia.
