en.Wedoany.com Reported - China's XCMG has officially launched its largest tonnage material handler, the XE1700GM, designed for loading and unloading 40,000-ton bulk carriers and large-yard transshipment operations, applicable in ports, docks, timber yards, and bulk material transfer stations.

The XE1700GM features a combination of a 14.5-meter boom and a 13.5-meter arm, with a maximum working radius of 26.9 meters and a working depth of 8 meters, covering cargo holds and stacking areas. It can quickly switch between attachments such as clamshell buckets, orange peel grabs, log grabs, and hooks, adapting to the handling needs of bulk materials, logs, scrap steel, and more.

In terms of energy efficiency, the XE1700GM is equipped with a potential energy recovery system that automatically recovers energy when the boom descends, reducing overall fuel consumption by 30%. Depending on the material and attachment configuration, its operating efficiency ranges from 400 to 1,200 tons per hour.

Key structural components are optimized through simulation based on measured load spectra to ensure service life under heavy-load conditions. An intelligent dashboard provides real-time monitoring of load and working device position. Additionally, the machine can be optionally equipped with automatic fire suppression, spray, and electric heating systems to meet special operating requirements.
