en.Wedoany.com Reported - DOF Group ASA has secured a three-year contract to support subsea operations for the vessel Skandi Involver in the Stabroek Block, Guyana, operated by ExxonMobil Guyana Limited.

The Norwegian offshore and subsea services company announced on June 26 that the contract was awarded by its North America Subsea region. Keith Lewis, General Manager of DOF Guyana, confirmed to OilNOW that the operations will take place in the Stabroek Block. Work is expected to commence in early Q3 2026.

DOF described the contract as a "megacontract" for the Skandi Involver. The firm term is three years, with two one-year options. Under the agreement, DOF will perform subsea construction, inspection, and maintenance activities, as well as provide well intervention support.

The Skandi Involver is a DP3 dynamic positioning vessel equipped with 400-metric-ton and 100-metric-ton cranes. DOF stated that the vessel also integrates remotely operated vehicle and survey services.

Mons S. Aase, CEO of DOF Group, said the contract strengthens the company's position in field development support. The contract adds to the offshore service chain supporting operations in the Stabroek Block, the only oil-producing area offshore Guyana. The block is operated by ExxonMobil Guyana Limited, with Hess Guyana Exploration Limited and CNOOC Petroleum Guyana Limited as joint venture partners.

ExxonMobil is seeking environmental authorization for a drilling campaign of 35 exploration and appraisal wells in the Stabroek Block. The proposed activity is expected to run from Q2 2028 to Q4 2033.
