en.Wedoany.com Reported - From January to June this year, the New Western Land-Sea Corridor handled a cumulative 660,000 TEUs of cargo, with an average monthly volume of 110,000 TEUs. The second quarter saw a 3.6% quarter-on-quarter increase, maintaining high transport market demand.
It is reported that starting July 1, the national railway implemented a new train schedule, adding three new scheduled routes for the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, bringing the total to 52. This further densifies the logistics network connecting Guangxi with central and western regions such as Yunnan, Chongqing, and Sichuan.
Currently, China Railway Nanning Group is vigorously advancing key capacity expansion and renovation projects for the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, including the construction of a second line on the Nanning-Fangchenggang Railway's Qinzhou to Fangchenggang section and the second line on the Qinzhou East to Qinzhou Port Railway, continuously expanding the corridor's capacity.
Data shows that since the beginning of this year, a total of 72,000 TEUs of steel and mineral production raw materials, such as alumina and high-grade nickel matte, have been shipped from Qinzhou Port East Station to ASEAN countries, a year-on-year increase of 49.4%. This has effectively ensured the stability of the supply chain for "smart manufacturing" industries in regions such as Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, and Guizhou. Meanwhile, products like auto and motorcycle parts produced in Chongqing and Chengdu have been exported via rail-sea intermodal transport, reaching 38,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 89.9%. Currently, the corridor's cargo categories have expanded to 1,362 types, connecting 76 cities across 18 provinces in China and radiating to 593 ports in 128 countries and regions worldwide.
