en.Wedoany.com Reported - Oman LNG announced that its "Muscat LNG" has delivered its first export cargo from Oman to the international market, a milestone that enhances the country's LNG export capacity and strengthens the Sultanate's position as a reliable supplier in the global energy supply chain.

Owned by ASYAD Shipping, the vessel reflects the integration of Oman's energy, logistics, and maritime sectors. This maiden voyage follows the vessel's launch, and it belongs to the latest generation of LNG carriers, designed to meet international standards for operational efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability. The Muscat LNG is equipped with advanced technologies such as a dual-fuel propulsion system, aimed at reducing emissions and improving fuel efficiency.

Oman LNG stated that the vessel's first cargo is a testament to its ongoing commitment to supplying energy safely and reliably to international markets. This development supports Oman Vision 2040, which aims to strengthen the Sultanate's role as a regional and international hub for energy supply chains and logistics.

Hamad bin Mohammed Al Nu’mani, the company's Chief Executive Officer, noted that the first cargo of the Muscat LNG is a significant milestone in expanding the company's export capacity. This voyage also reflects the strength of the national partnership with ASYAD Shipping and a shared focus on operational excellence, sustainability, and reliable energy supply. He added that the vessel's operations demonstrate the capability of Oman's integrated energy system to meet growing global demand while enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of maritime services.

The Muscat LNG is the first of two vessels scheduled to arrive at the Oman LNG natural gas industry complex, with the second tanker expected to arrive in July. Oman LNG stated that these vessels will further integrate the country's energy value chain by strengthening its capabilities in LNG production, maritime transport, and international supply, thereby consolidating the nation's position in the global energy and logistics sectors through increased domestic value creation.

Founded in 1994, Oman LNG produces and exports LNG to global markets. The investment fund of the Oman LNG Development Foundation holds a 10% stake in the Muscat LNG, reflecting its support for strategic investments in the energy, logistics, and maritime sectors.
