This personnel adjustment comes as CMA CGM announces the acquisition of FedEx Supply Chain, a subsidiary of FedEx Logistics, which is a contract logistics entity under the U.S.-based FedEx Group, specializing particularly in less-than-container load (LCL) ocean freight solutions. Through this acquisition, CMA CGM will gain access to over 130 warehouses across the Atlantic, including more than 30 omnichannel order fulfillment and distribution centers, covering a total area of approximately 4 million square meters. The group is seeking to strengthen its logistics operations in North America, and Patrick Moebel, who previously served as President of FedEx Logistics, is recognized for his professional expertise.

Mathieu Friedberg, who served as CEO of Ceva Logistics for six years, has been appointed Executive Vice President of Transformation at the CMA CGM Group. He previously led multiple large-scale integrations, including those of Gefco and Bolloré Logistics. The group, led by Rodolphe Saadé, stated that he will oversee artificial intelligence, information technology, cybersecurity, Zebox, and CMA Conseil-related businesses.
