en.Wedoany.com Reported - Hubei Communications Investment Group released the first AI large model for the transportation industry in Hubei Province, "Jingchu·Xing," on June 30. This model leverages 3.18 billion pieces of full-road business data and a 70P domestically produced autonomous computing cluster, building 83 specialized business agents covering areas such as road network dispatch, engineering construction, road maintenance, public travel, and financial risk control, forming a "1+5+X" digital-intelligent system. It provides a "Hubei Model" for the implementation of "AI+" applications in the highway sector.

Over 120 people, including leaders from the Ministry of Transport, Hubei Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Department of Transport, Department of Science and Technology, experts in intelligent transportation from Tsinghua University, Huawei technical teams, industry media, and representatives from peer transportation companies, witnessed the model launch on-site. This process formed a collaborative model of "government guidance, state-owned enterprise leadership, university empowerment, and technology enterprise support."

"Jingchu·Xing" establishes an integrated air-space-ground perception and dispatch hub, achieving three key technical indicators: road disease identification accuracy reaches 0.1 millimeter level, AI event recognition accuracy exceeds 95%, and safety hazard response time is reduced from the traditional hour level to the minute level. The model has been validated in real-world scenarios such as slope monitoring on the Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway and construction in mountainous bridge and tunnel areas, addressing industry governance challenges in Hubei, including dense bridges and tunnels, complex geology, and frequent extreme weather.

The "e-Lu Changtong·Jingchu Xing" smart travel service platform has been fully integrated with the national "e-Lu Changtong" system of the Ministry of Transport, enabling the consolidation of multi-source data including road conditions, charging stations, ETC, road rescue, and service area supplies, supporting one-stop online processing of road-related services. The "Qianmo Tong" digital product for expressway construction builds a comprehensive perception network using digital twins, AR individual equipment, and drone inspections, improving project management efficiency by five times and reducing construction management costs by 20%, effectively alleviating the control pressure of clustered expressway construction in mountainous areas.

At the launch event, Professor Zhang Yi from Tsinghua University delivered a keynote speech on transportation large models and new quality productive forces, interpreting cutting-edge vehicle-road coordination technology systems; Liu Jia, Vice President of Huawei's China Regional Department, introduced a full-stack autonomous and controllable AI infrastructure support solution, with both parties jointly advancing the innovation chain of transportation AI industry-academia-research. Wang Shuiyin, Vice President of the Research Institute of Highway under the Ministry of Transport, stated that the "Jingchu·Xing" AI industry model developed by Hubei Communications Investment Group is a measure to implement the national AI development strategy, exploring a replicable path for cultivating new quality productive forces in transportation. Wang Wei, Party Leadership Group Member and Deputy Director of the Hubei Provincial Department of Transport, pointed out that Hubei Communications Investment Group, as the main force of the province's transportation digital transformation, leads 70% of the province's digital pilot tasks. The release of this large model marks a new phase of systematic large-scale implementation of transportation AI applications in Hubei, and the group will continue to drive model iteration and promote scenario application across the province.

According to publicly disclosed plans, Hubei Communications Investment Group will continue to iterate the AI agent matrix, open up cross-provincial road network data collaboration channels, expand diversified integrated services of "AI + Transportation," and export complete digital solutions externally, empowering the construction of a strategic fulcrum for the rise of central China through digital intelligence.
