Under the master agreement, actual orders will be placed in phases based on the customer's data center construction progress in North America, with HD Hyundai Electric planning to complete all product deliveries by 2028. This contract provides a combined package of distribution and transmission equipment, aiming to support the power infrastructure for core data centers.

Supplying both types of equipment simultaneously helps enhance the design consistency of the overall infrastructure and reduces potential risks in delivery, quality, and after-sales management. HD Hyundai Electric stated that its product portfolio covering the entire power value chain is one of its differentiated competitive advantages.

The demand for data center power infrastructure is rapidly expanding, particularly in North America. The International Energy Agency (IEA) forecasts that global data center electricity consumption will increase from 415 terawatt-hours in 2024 to 945 terawatt-hours by 2030. The report notes that by 2030, the growth in U.S. data center electricity demand will account for about half of the global increase. As large-scale data center construction continues, the importance of infrastructure required for stable power supply is increasingly prominent.

An HD Hyundai Electric official stated that the contract was achieved as a result of the company meeting the strict quality standards of global major technology companies for data centers, as well as the recognition of the competitiveness of its distribution and transmission equipment. The company plans to continue expanding customized package offerings covering multiple product lines to solidify its position in the data center power infrastructure market.
