en.Wedoany.com Reported - TIP Group and Sunswap are continuing their collaboration to promote sustainable refrigeration technology for UK transport operators. The trailer and truck rental service provider helps operators access Sunswap's Endurance transport refrigeration units powered by solar panels through trial and long-term leasing arrangements.
The partnership is based on over a year of application testing in the UK, involving the installation of Endurance transport refrigeration units on refrigerated trailers used by cold chain operators. Operators using the system can trial the equipment in daily operations and receive performance reports before committing to long-term adoption.
TIP Group stated that the trial program achieved 100% uptime over the past year, with no unscheduled maintenance, breakdowns, or refrigeration outages. Operators also reported reduced diesel consumption and direct refrigeration emissions during use.
The Endurance unit, designed and manufactured in Leatherhead, Surrey, integrates battery, solar, software, and services into a single system. The equipment generates 1,000 real-time data points, providing visibility into temperature compliance, energy usage, and asset performance.
Sunswap CEO Michael Lowe said the company currently operates Endurance units in fleets across three continents and collaborates with global fleet operators. He noted that Endurance can reduce operating costs by up to 81%, allowing operators to focus on the benefits of moving away from diesel and saving on fuel and maintenance costs; many operators have already chosen and leased Sunswap technology.
