en.Wedoany.com Reported - Microsoft has announced the formation of Microsoft Frontier Company, a new operational entity focused on providing "frontier transformation" services to global clients through artificial intelligence. The initiative received a $2.5 billion investment from Microsoft at launch and is staffed with 6,000 industry and engineering experts who will work on-site with clients to design, innovate, deploy, and continuously improve AI systems. Judson Althoff, CEO of Microsoft Commercial Business, shared these details in a blog post announcing the news on July 2.

Althoff stated that Microsoft Frontier Company will combine deep industry knowledge, change management and continuous improvement expertise, and enterprise-level AI engineering know-how to form a unique capability set. According to the plan, enterprises are encouraged to build an intelligent platform that allows their "unique intelligence"—including proprietary data, expertise, workflows, and decision-making processes—to be continuously accumulated internally over time, and to leverage chosen models to construct AI solutions and workflows. Althoff also noted that enterprises need a trusted platform to observe, govern, manage, and protect AI solutions at every layer of the technology stack.
Althoff emphasized that building a system that creates a continuous improvement loop between these two platforms requires AI engineering expertise and deep industry knowledge. This is precisely the mission of Microsoft Frontier Company.
