en.Wedoany.com Reported - Artificial Intelligence bid management platform BidScript has raised over £600,000 in its latest funding round, bringing its total pre-seed funding to more than £751,000. Headquartered in Altrincham, Cheshire, UK, the company was co-founded by childhood friends Henry Brogan and Tyler McCarthy during their university years, aiming to help businesses discover, screen, manage, write, and submit bids for public and private sector contracts.
BidScript focuses on the construction and engineering, information technology, and education sectors, supporting businesses in competing in high-stakes bidding environments. The company notes that public and private contracts are awarded annually worth hundreds of billions of pounds, yet most businesses still rely on manual spreadsheets and shared drives to manage the bidding process, resulting in inefficiency. By automating workflows with AI-based technology, BidScript claims that early clients, spanning the UK, US, and Middle East, have seen bid win rates increase by up to 50%.
The latest funding includes additional investment from NPIF II-PXN Equity Finance (managed by PXN Ventures, as part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II) and new investment from SFC Capital. This pre-seed capital will be used for team building, product suite development, and domestic and international market expansion. BidScript's funding began in November 2024, when it was one of 12 companies selected for PXN's inaugural PraeSeed program. The six-week program, now in its third year, aims to provide pre-seed businesses in Northern England with funding access and mentorship support. BidScript is one of seven companies to receive a £200,000 investment after the program's conclusion.
BidScript co-founder and CEO Henry Brogan stated that general-purpose AI cannot meet the standards required for high-stakes public and private sector bidding, a niche area requiring deep expertise. PXN Ventures Investment Partner Harry Manley noted that the investment in BidScript was one of the first checks following the PraeSeed program, and its scale and development are encouraging. SFC Capital Head Ed Stevenson remarked that Henry and Tyler have addressed the outdated bid management system problem that many overlooked, building genuine traction early on. British Business Bank Senior Investment Manager Sue Barnard expressed delight in seeing the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II support AI-driven solutions like BidScript, as the company continues to develop innovative technology and pursue growth plans, reflecting the UK's modern industrial strategy ambitions to support high-growth companies and the digital economy.
