en.Wedoany.com Reported - Polymetal Joint-Stock Company (АО «Полиметалл») has completed the acquisition of all shares in Copper Company (ООО «МРК»), having previously held a 33% stake in МРК.

Copper Company (МРК) was founded in 2004 with Chinese capital participation. As of November 2024, the company was affiliated with the mining investment company "Xin Min (Синь Минь)". МРК holds a license for the extraction of copper pyrite ores at the Novoshaitanskoye deposit near Kirovgrad, Sverdlovsk Oblast.

According to the Russian State Mineral Reserves Balance as of January 1, 2022, the recorded copper reserves for underground mining at the Novoshaitanskoye deposit are: A+B+C1 category ore at 3.281 million tons with an average grade of 3.67%, containing 120,400 tons of copper metal; C2 category ore at 196,000 tons, containing 4,800 tons of copper metal.

The development plan for the deposit includes the construction of a mine with an annual ore production capacity of 600,000 tons and a corresponding processing plant. Chinese investors had previously invested over 1 billion rubles, but the project has been suspended.

МРК initiated bankruptcy proceedings in 2023, which were terminated in February 2025. Shortly before the termination of the bankruptcy proceedings, МРК was acquired by Sergey Savelyev (Сергей Савельев), who assumed all obligations of the Chinese party. In March 2026, the company's ownership was transferred to Irina Savelyeva (Ирина Савельева). Polymetal completed the acquisition of the 33% stake in МРК from Irina Savelyeva, thereby achieving full control.
