en.Wedoany.com Reported - French aircraft manufacturer Daher Aircraft has inaugurated a new spare parts, maintenance, equipment overhaul, and logistics center at the Jonzac-Neulle Airport (LFCJ) in western France, aimed at enhancing support and logistics capabilities for a variety of aircraft.

The facility is housed in a purpose-built 6,000-square-meter building, replacing Daher Aircraft's previous operations site in Merpins, located 25 kilometers to the north. The expanded workspace ensures continuity of existing support and service contracts and provides capacity for future growth. The new facility offers direct access to the airport's 1,370-meter runway, opening up new opportunities for on-board maintenance and technical support.
The new building was constructed by the Communauté des Communes de Haute Saintonge under the leadership of its then-president, Claude Belot, who attended the inauguration. Also present at the event were the current president of the community and mayor of Jonzac, Christophe Cabri, along with other elected officials and government representatives.
"This inauguration marks another significant step in Daher Aircraft's commitment to further strengthening its global support network and the comprehensive services it offers," said Nicolas Chabbert, CEO of Daher Aircraft. "Today's milestone is also an opportunity to recognize the commitment of Claude Belot and the Communauté des Communes de Haute Saintonge, whose support was instrumental in realizing this project."
The center offers a diverse portfolio of logistics, repair, and overhaul services, executed through direct contracts and as a service provider, covering a range of aircraft from Airbus Helicopters helicopters used by the French Gendarmerie to Cirrus and Grob aircraft used for pilot training.
Another key activity is the continued support of approximately 3,000 TB and Rallye series general aviation and training aircraft produced by Daher Aircraft's predecessor, SOCATA, including spare parts supply, repairs, and the manufacture of replacement parts under the company's Part 21J design organization approval.
The facility's extensive capabilities include composite airframe repair, painting, welding, landing gear hydraulics, battery overhaul, and a Level 2 non-destructive testing workshop. Currently, it employs 32 staff members transferred from Daher Aircraft's previous Merpins site, ensuring continuity of expertise, service, and customer support. The workforce is expected to increase to approximately 40 people later this year.
As an aircraft manufacturer, industrial company, industrial service provider, and logistics expert, Daher currently employs 14,500 people and reported revenue of €1.9 billion in 2025. With family ownership, Daher has been driven by innovation since its founding in 1863. Operating in approximately 15 countries across Europe, North America, and Asia, Daher designs and develops value-added solutions for its aerospace and industrial customers and partners. Daher Aircraft produces two families of single-engine turboprop aircraft: the fast, efficient, and pressurized TBM in Tarbes, France; and the Kodiak multi-purpose aircraft in Sandpoint, Idaho, USA.
