en.Wedoany.com Reported - French aircraft manufacturer Aura Aero has acquired key assets from fellow French electric propulsion specialist VoltAero, reinforcing its commitment to low-carbon aviation.

The transaction brings together the resources of two companies in the field of hybrid-electric flight in Europe, enabling Toulouse-based Aura Aero to gain access to VoltAero's technology, patents, facilities, and engineering expertise, including the Cassio S flight demonstrator, which has completed over 270 flights since 2019.
Based on a Cessna Skymaster airframe, the Cassio S has accumulated approximately 15,500 miles of flight testing, providing a wealth of real-world flight data.
Aura Aero stated that this acquisition will directly serve several of its own projects, including the Integral trainer, the ERA 19-seat hybrid-electric regional aircraft, and the ENBATA drone program. The company will also take over VoltAero's base in Rochefort, which features 25,000 square feet of facilities and direct runway access, serving as an additional testing and prototyping center.
Aura Aero co-founder and President Jérémy Caussade described the acquisition as "a catalyst for industrial, technological, and talent growth," adding that it strengthens the company's ambition to become one of the global leaders in next-generation aviation.
