en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, a China-Europe freight train loaded with 55 containers departed from Shijiazhuang International Land Port, heading to Liège, Belgium. This is the first train from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to Belgium and the 20th international route launched by Shijiazhuang International Land Port.
The train carries steel plates, auto parts, furniture, and other goods. It will exit China via the Erenhot port, passing through Mongolia, Russia, Belarus, Poland, and Germany, and arrive in Liège, Belgium, approximately 20 days later.
Liège, located at the geographical center of Europe, serves as a transportation hub connecting multiple Western European countries and is a key freight and logistics distribution center in Europe. Upon arrival at the Liège station, the China-Europe freight train's cargo can be transshipped to major European countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, and France. This not only enhances the logistics reach of Shijiazhuang's China-Europe freight trains in Europe but also injects new vitality into economic and trade exchanges between the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the European continent.
To date, Shijiazhuang International Land Port has launched 13 regular routes to Europe, including Moscow, Minsk, Hamburg, Warsaw, Belgrade, and Liège, covering major European economic centers. In the first five months of this year, the land port operated over 600 China-Europe (Asia) freight trains, a year-on-year increase of 21.1%, with cargo value exceeding 6.1 billion yuan.
