en.Wedoany.com Reported - Stellar Resources has updated the mineral resource estimate for the Heemskirk tin project in Tasmania, Australia, with a 64% increase compared to the previous estimate, equivalent to an additional 8.4 million tonnes of ore at a grade of 0.82%, containing 70,002 tonnes of tin.
Following this upgrade, the total resource for the Heemskirk tin project has reached 13.3 million tonnes at a grade of 0.86%, containing 115,300 tonnes of tin.
Stellar stated that the indicated resource category has increased by 125%, now reaching 6 million tonnes at a grade of 0.84%, containing 50,739 tonnes of tin, marking one of the highlights of this update.
Heemskirk remains the highest-grade undeveloped tin project in Australia and ranks third globally among similar projects.
Including the nearby St Dizier deposit, Heemskirk's total resource base now exceeds 129,000 tonnes of contained tin.
Stellar is advancing the pre-feasibility study for the project, expected to be released in the second half of this year.
The update to the mineral resource estimate was supported by an investment from ASX-listed company Metals X, Australia's largest tin producer and 50% owner of the nearby Renison tin mine. Metals X retains a 16.4% stake in Stellar, validating Heemskirk's potential as a tier-one tin project.
Stellar is also continuing drilling operations on site to test near-term growth targets.
