en.Wedoany.com Reported - 10 Design has unveiled the design of The Cape, a high-end residential project within the master-planned community of Al Barari. Comprising three mid-rise buildings, The Cape is oriented to align with prevailing winds for natural cooling.
Spanning 140,000 square feet, the project offers a total of 286 apartments with a gross floor area of 500,000 square feet, ranging from one-bedroom to four-bedroom duplex units. Amenities are centered around wellness and family lifestyle, including a swimming pool, wellness treatment rooms, a gym, a co-working lounge, a multi-purpose rooftop lounge, a kids' club, and a family pool. The design of The Cape is anchored on the concept of "canopy living," aiming to maximize views and visually connect the surrounding landscape greenery and water features with the interior spaces.
The global planning and design firm stated upon unveiling the scheme that the design prioritizes pedestrians, with vehicle access discreetly arranged at the entrance leading to an underground parking garage. Internal corridors utilize floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize natural light, while balcony spaces account for 20% of the total area, enhancing the indoor-outdoor connection.
Located approximately 20 minutes by car from Downtown Dubai, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and the airport, Al Barari has evolved over the past two decades into a pioneering community in Dubai, setting a new benchmark for health-conscious, high-end living.
The development features a fluid aesthetic, reflecting a natural and restrained design approach aimed at enhancing the resident experience. The project employs natural-toned materials throughout to reduce heat absorption and provide comfort. The horizontal rhythm of the facade imparts visual dynamism while serving as a unifying element, connecting The Cape's soft forms with nearby projects characterized by sharp, straight lines.
Previously, 10 Design has been involved in other landmark projects within the Al Barari master plan, including Seventh Heaven, featuring 157 luxury apartments, garden villas, and sky villas, and Ashjar, comprising 21 low-rise buildings with 300 high-end apartments.
Paul Rodgers, Senior Design Director at 10 Design, said: "Our vision for this project was to create a high-end development that respects Al Barari's 20-year legacy while being deeply connected to its natural environment."
