en.Wedoany.com Reported - Mining company Capitan Silver Corp. has achieved new results from its 60,000-meter drilling program at the Cruz de Plata gold-silver project in Durango state. After releasing assay results from eight new drill holes, the company confirmed that the mineralized system continues to expand, showing higher grades at greater depths.

The most significant discovery occurred at the Jesús María silver deposit. Drill hole 26-JMDD-02 returned high-grade mineralization of 1,077.1 grams per tonne silver equivalent (AgEq) over a 1.1-meter interval, which lies within a broader 6.7-meter zone averaging 342.2 g/t AgEq. This discovery extends the main Jesús María mineralized zone downward by approximately 25 meters, demonstrating the vertical continuity of the deposit. Additionally, multiple drill holes along the Jesús María silver trend (east and west of the Peñoles fault) have expanded the deep mineralization footprint.
Capitan Silver CEO Alberto Orozco stated that the latest results continue to expand the scale and potential of the silver system, with the increase in grades at depth proving the deposit's strong vertical continuity. Currently, four drill rigs are operating on the property.
The company still has assay results pending for 61 drill holes (35 core holes and 26 reverse circulation holes), with results received weekly. The company stated it will maintain an intensive drilling pace to more clearly define the potential of Cruz de Plata.
