The certification, issued by the National Water Authority under the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation of Peru (Ministerio de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego del Perú), is valid for 12 months and confirms that the La Arena mine has become a responsible enterprise in water management, having demonstrated its ability to fulfill the commitments set by the ANA's Water Footprint Program (Programa Huella Hídrica de la ANA).

To obtain this renewal, Zijin Mining implemented a series of projects aimed at optimizing water use efficiency in operations and enhancing water security for communities within the mine's area of influence, thereby meeting the requirements of the National Water Authority's Water Footprint Program. The Blue Certification was introduced at the awarding ceremony as the highest honor granted by the National Water Authority, with representatives from the public sector, private enterprises, and academic institutions in attendance. Francisco Quevedo, Environmental Management Director of Zijin Mining's La Arena mine, received the certification on behalf of the company.
