en.Wedoany.com Reported - Neo Space Group (NSG) and Hughes Network Systems have deployed three new Hughes ground gateways in Saudi Arabia and Europe to support NSG's in-flight connectivity services.

NSG announced on Monday that the new gateways, deployed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Sintra, Portugal; and the Canary Islands, are all based on the Jupiter 3 ground system. These gateways are designed to support NSG's expansion of its in-flight connectivity portfolio. The two companies stated that the gateway architecture is specifically designed for dynamic capacity allocation across beams and seamless roaming between coverage areas, ensuring consistent service quality for airlines operating across regions.

NSG reported that its in-flight connectivity system achieved data rates exceeding 100 Mbps during initial flight tests, with peak rates reaching approximately 200 Mbps.

Ramesh Ramaswamy, Executive Vice President of Hughes Network Systems, said that the collaboration is building a robust regional network powered by NSG Satcom, aimed at providing reliable, high-capacity connectivity for critical global aviation routes, reflecting the company's ongoing commitment to advancing satellite-enabled mobile solutions.
