en.Wedoany.com Reported - According to statistics released by the China Construction Machinery Association on July 6, 2026, the average monthly working hours of major construction machinery products in June 2026 were 73.8 hours, a year-on-year decrease of 4.48% and a month-on-month decrease of 4.61%; the monthly operating rate was 51.1%, a year-on-year decrease of 5.83 percentage points and a month-on-month decrease of 1.25 percentage points. The construction machinery market continued its downward trend during the traditional off-season of June.

Among major product categories, non-road mining dump trucks led all categories with an average monthly working time of 124 hours, followed by forklifts (97.1 hours), loaders (96.7 hours), and concrete mixer trucks (85.2 hours). Excavators, as a "barometer" of the construction machinery industry, had an average working time of 58.1 hours in June and an operating rate of 51.6%. Truck cranes had an average monthly working time of 81.6 hours and an operating rate of 53.2%; crawler cranes had an average monthly working time of 71.9 hours and an operating rate of 49%. Tower cranes had an average monthly working time of 50.6 hours and an operating rate of 44.9%. In terms of road machinery, rollers had an average monthly working time of 25 hours and an operating rate of 33.3%; pavers had an average monthly working time of 28.7 hours and an operating rate of 40.7%. Among concrete machinery, concrete pump trucks had an average monthly working time of 35.1 hours and an operating rate of 32%; mixer trucks had an average monthly working time of 85.2 hours and an operating rate of 37.8%. Rotary drilling rigs had an average monthly working time of 59.8 hours and an operating rate of 38.3%.

From a year-on-year perspective, the average working hours of major products in June decreased by 4.48% year-on-year, and the operating rate decreased by 5.83 percentage points year-on-year, reflecting the continued slowdown in construction demand in sectors such as infrastructure and real estate. On a month-on-month basis, working hours decreased by 4.61% compared to May, and the operating rate decreased by 1.25 percentage points, indicating that construction intensity further weakened after entering June, consistent with the industry's seasonal patterns.

Statistics from the China Construction Machinery Association show that the construction machinery market in June continued the downward trend since the second quarter, with both working hours and operating rates of major products showing year-on-year and month-on-month declines. Among them, non-road mining dump trucks led with an average working time of 124 hours, reflecting the strong rigid demand for large transportation equipment in the mining sector; while categories such as rollers and concrete pump trucks, which are highly correlated with infrastructure and real estate construction progress, had relatively low working hours and operating rates, indicating that construction activities in related downstream sectors remain weak. The release of June data provides an important reference for observing the operational status of China's construction machinery industry.
