en.Wedoany.com Reported - ROSS has launched the Model VM-80 VersaMix blender, which combines a three-wing anchor agitator and a high-speed disperser to handle liquids, slurries, gels, creams, and pastes, offering mixing, stirring, dispersing, heating, cooling, and vacuum processing capabilities. This VersaMix unit has a working capacity of 80 gallons and a total capacity of 86 gallons.

Metal blender with blade details

The blender's vessel is constructed from 316L stainless steel, with product-contact surfaces finished to below 25 Ra, and is passivated and electropolished to maintain hygienic operation and simplify cleaning. The system is designed to withstand a maximum vacuum of 29.5 inches of mercury and an internal pressure of 50 psig, featuring dry, non-contact dual gas seals and a 304 stainless steel heating/cooling jacket rated for 50 psig at 300°F. Both the mixing vessel and jacket carry the ASME code stamp and have completed relevant committee registration, along with CRN registration in Canada. The unit is equipped with a 2-inch sanitary radial diaphragm bottom discharge valve, meeting stringent requirements for bioprocessing, pharmaceutical, and other aseptic applications.

The blender is powered by a 5 HP explosion-proof motor driving a three-wing anchor agitator with a speed range of 25 rpm to 52 rpm. A skimming breaker wing is installed below the anchor hub to eliminate dead zones and promote material movement throughout the mixing and discharge cycles. Working in tandem with the anchor agitator is a high-speed disperser driven by a 15 HP explosion-proof motor, featuring a 9-inch 316 stainless steel serrated blade, reaching speeds up to 2016 rpm and generating a tip speed of up to 4750 ft/min. The equipment also includes a seal gas purge system and a debris well, along with dual mechanical seals for air or nitrogen purging.

The top cover incorporates multiple tri-clamp ports and an RTD temperature probe extending into the vessel interior for continuous temperature monitoring of the internal materials.
