The project will adopt ally-validated design solutions and a mature supply chain system, offering advantages in maintenance, training, interoperability, and lifecycle cost-effectiveness, meeting the U.S. government's timeline requirements for accelerating Arctic capability delivery. Bollinger will leverage its integrated manufacturing network spanning over a dozen strategic facilities across the Gulf of America and more than 4,000 skilled workers, employing the distributed production model it has refined over two decades in complex commercial shipbuilding projects to integrate engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and final construction across multiple shipyards, thereby enhancing schedule certainty and maintaining quality consistency.

Ben Bordelon, President and CEO of Bollinger Shipyards, stated that the company is honored that President Trump and the U.S. government have selected Bollinger as the prime shipyard, with the goal of delivering proven Arctic capabilities to the Coast Guard, strengthening the U.S. shipbuilding industrial base, and providing long-term value to taxpayers through commonality, maintenance efficiency, and low-risk procurement. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin commented that America's future in the Arctic requires strength and capability, thanking the President for his leadership in making the icebreaker project possible.
