Pudu Robotics Launches PUDU MP2000, a 2-Ton Pallet Handling Robot
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Pudu Robotics has launched the AI-native pallet handling robot PUDU MP2000, with a payload capacity of 2,000 kg, designed for autonomous floor-to-floor material transport in warehouses, logistics facilities, and manufacturing environments.

Autonomous pallet handling remains challenging in large-scale industrial deployments. Traditional systems often require site preparation, dedicated infrastructure, and complex integration, while variations in pallet formats and operating environments can limit deployment flexibility.
The PUDU MP2000 is positioned as a standardized pallet handling solution that can be directly integrated into existing operations.
Built on multi-sensor navigation, edge intelligence, and AI-native perception, the robot can map its operating environment and generate workflows on its own, without requiring large-scale site modifications, reflectors, QR codes, or complex platform integration. Deployment can be measured in minutes, with less infrastructure and commissioning work than conventional autonomous forklift projects. Manufacturers can introduce automation with less disruption to production lines, and logistics operators can scale the number of robots as demand changes.
The MP2000 is compatible with three-stringer pallets and perimeter-base pallets, and can also accommodate custom or non-standard load carriers. Its perception system can determine available storage locations, load positions, and pallet misalignment in real time onboard the vehicle, and assess load dimensions and shape to determine clearance and navigate through confined spaces.
In terms of fork handling, fork insertion can be completed within 20 seconds, shortening the pickup cycle accordingly and reducing repeated positioning and pickup attempts, making it suitable for high-frequency, repetitive industrial pallet handling.
3D LiDAR, depth cameras, and multi-sensor perception enable the robot to identify low-lying and overhead obstacles, navigate around static obstacles, and respond to dynamic obstacles in real time, making it suitable for environments where personnel, equipment, and materials change frequently.
The PUDU MP2000 combines local intelligence with fleet-level coordination. Individual units can make independent decisions, while multi-robot collaboration keeps workflows orderly. The fleet can also operate in offline environments where external network connectivity is lost, and can integrate compatible external devices. Operators can assign tasks and take over control when necessary.
The launch of this product extends Pudu Robotics' industrial product line from flexible mobile delivery to pallet handling and heavier-load transport. The T-series autonomous mobile robots (AMRs, such as the PUDU T300) are designed for flexible delivery and material transport, while the MP2000 expands coverage to palletized, heavier-load floor-to-floor transport, deployable in loading docks, warehouses, line-side storage, and production workshops. The two product categories complement each other, providing factories and warehouses with automation capabilities covering both flexible delivery and pallet transport.
