en.Wedoany.com Reported - Forbis Logistics has become the first international freight forwarding company in Peru to obtain Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification. This logistics company, a subsidiary of the Ferreycorp Group, received the certification from Peru's National Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) for its high-standard logistics chain security management aligned with global best practices. The certification is based on international standards established by the World Customs Organization (WCO) through the SAFE Framework, aiming to promote safer and more efficient international trade.

Jorge Devoto, General Manager of Forbis Logistics, stated that becoming the first international freight forwarder in Peru to obtain OEA certification reflects the company's long-term commitment to operational excellence, security, and continuous improvement, ensuring processes comply with international standards to support more competitive and secure foreign trade. The company primarily offers air, sea, and multimodal transport services. Business data shows that among global air freight agents flying to Peru, it ranks fourth by tonnage; on air routes from the United States to Peru, it ranks second. Currently, the company has been operating for 16 years, with offices in Peru, the United States, and Chile, and extends its services to over 60 countries through a partner network.
This OEA certification further enriches Forbis Logistics' qualifications in security management and compliance. The company previously held certifications such as Indirect Air Carrier (IAC) from the U.S. government, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), BASC certification, as well as triple ISO certifications for quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety. Additionally, the company holds an "Entrepreneur Integrity Anti-Corruption Certification" and the ISO 37001:2025 Anti-Bribery Management System certification. With this new recognition, the company reaffirms its mission to promote safer, more efficient, and innovative international logistics, thereby helping to enhance the overall competitiveness of Peru's foreign trade.
